First – brace yourself for a gosh darn long post.
Okay, now that you’ve been warned… Friday night, Eugene & I went to the Catholic Central High School game.
Once one of his seventh graders noticed us in the stands, Eugene suddenly became very popular. Every two minutes another student of his would walk over, stop, wave really hard, and shout “Mr. Shumaker! You’re here! Hi! You’re wearing a hat! Okay, bye!”
As we were leaving, we got pummeled by a herd of little 7th grade girls who proceeded to bear hug me telling me that they’ve heard so much about me! Either they’re really nice & happy or he’s an awesome teacher! :)
Saturday morning, I headed over to the HPERC to cheer on my Witt volleyballers. It was a fun game to watch as they duked it out till the very last kill in the third game.
Sunday, we had our first experience as “teachers” for the two year olds during the Sunday school hour. They were so cute & watching Eugene interact so well with them was precious.
{Sorry, cell phone picture = bad quality!}
Then I whipped up some homemade garlic hummus & pita chips {recipe to come} while the pup laid in the sun. It was so gorgeous outside this weekend! {Wondrous thing for sure!}
I love love {love} the picture below.
Then we spent most of Sunday afternoon & evening at Eugene’s grandparents with his family. We even brought the pup over later in the evening for a bonfire.
One happy family!
And {Praise the Lord} I’m off today! No work, other than one short meeting this morning – so I’m enjoying two amazing days off in a row! YAHOO!
Great shots!!!!!!!!!! Busy weekend♥
